Default fuel Guage

My fuel guage isn't working.. (94 CC) Like the needle is all the way down, past "E".. Never moves at all.. I pulled the guage off and have it sitting on my workbench. Put a meter to it and its not shorted, at least form what I can tell. If there a way to test the fuel guage and fuel sender?

Thanks

I don't know if this is your situation... but with my cart, If I let the fuel get too low,
The fuel pick up line crosses over and holds the float down after I add new fuel!
(I have a steel rod which I use to move it out of the way for the float to... ummm... float!)

Just thought it could be something you might want to check!

Looks to be the fuel sender which is having the problem.. Can fuel senders be repaired? Or should I just order a replacement?
