Default starter generator belt replacement

1994 DS model - looks to me it would be easy to replace the starter generator belt if I didn't have to remove drive clutch belt first, which doesn't look easy. How do I remove the drive clutch belt?

I took mine off on my 90 and it wasnt too hard. Remove it from the rear clutch like when you remove a chain off of a bicycle. I pulled the belt from the bottom between the two clutchs and rolled the cart forward and it came off. Watch your fingers though

yep, it is just that easy. I just put my 1996 DS in Neutral, and rolled the belt off.

Got 'er done, thanks. I guess limited access through the rear cover is just something you have to get use to - which I'm not - and I thought changing the oil was a poor design.....

As you found out getting the drive belt off is 15 seconds at best. Next time you replace the starter belt,do an old racer trick and don't loosen anything, just roll it off. When you put it back on, put it on the starter first and roll it back onto the clutch, saves alot of time. The club car starter belt adjustment is one of the worst.
