Post whats the gap on a 96 club car DS

Can anyone help with the prppor spark plug gap for a 96 club car DS, and does a shorter drive belt help like it does on other makes?

I dont think a shorter belt helps our carts as it does an ezgo. My belt seems tight enough when you compare how loose the ezgo belt is. But do they even make a shorter belt for our carts. What exactly is your cart doing that you think you need a shorter belt?

Also I dont know the gap on a plug but I thought I read before .35 or somewhere along those lines

28 - 32 will work on any of these carts ....... It's not that critical IMHO .... The shorter belt trick works the same on all makes of carts .....

I don't know about a 96, but... on my buddies 94, the engine mounting holes were ovaled,
so we were able to slide the whole engine forward, rather then getting a shorter belt!

Just a thought!

My 90 cart has the engine cradle like a that. I noticed that today wen i changed the oil. I dont think my 99 is like that. I guess I need to try to move it forward.

So wait...was is the shorter drive belt supposed to do? Allow me to fly or something?

Also will the gap on the plug help with a rich running cart if it's not gapped right? Someone mentioned to me that a plug that burns hotter will help with a rich running cart and burn all the fuel. Is this true and will it burn up my motor in the process?
