Default tire diameters??

Anyone know the diameter of 205/50/10 or 205/30/12 tires? I know stock are about 18" diameter. Just wondering what new tires/wheels will do for speed/performance. Thanks.

Both of those sizes are 18" equivalents. No changes to speed, but they WILL handle better on paved surfaces.

And the 205/50/10 will give you a better ride on harsher surfaces. It has a thicker side wall.

Thanks guys. A "dealer" told me 12 were taller and would increase speed a little. If they're all the same height it becomes more of a price/ride/look decision I guess.

The 12's might be slightly taller, but the difference is more formula than reality.

How do you convert that metric tire size to know what is in inches?
