Default How to adjust toe in after 3" Jakes lift

I just installed a 3" Jake's spindle lift kit on my 2005 Club Car Precedent. It seems as if the tires are toed out (check pics) and riding on the outsides of the tires. Did I install the kingpins backwards? How do I correct this problem??

I would check your upper shock mount! I made the same mistake. Try to move the shock mount to the upper most hole... If not, you may have your spindles upside-down... Hope this helps!!

I will check the shock mount, as this was not even touched in the installation process. I cannot see how the spindles are upside down, they are marked drivers side and passenger side.

Here is a pic of the drivers side.

I guess nevermind on the spindle! I am Yamaha guy... It looks like there is some adjustment left on your camber setting! Hopefully someone will chime in that is a CC guru!!

I had the same situation with my Jake's 3",
The stock eccentric still exists on the cart to adjust that, and it can be adjusted to almost "nill"

This is for a DS... I'm not sure if the Precedent is set up the same way!

From my manual:

Hope this helps!

Thanks, Lockman. I used that as a guide as the DS is similar in adjustment, but I found my major flaw, I had the leaf spring mounts on backwards. The new pics will show the proper installation for anybody doing a future install of a Jakes kit as the instructions that are included are vague.

And the finished product with the correct toe in.

Nicely done! Your pics are superb. They tell a terrific story for those of us visually inclined. Good looking cart too!

How much clearance is there under the REAR differential? What size are those tires? If you do not mind saying, approximately how much did it cost? And how long did it take?

I measured 6.5" to the bottom of the skid plate of my rear dif. The tires are 20x10x10 the kit was from Jakes and included the tires, wheels and lift and was 799.00. http://www.jakesliftkits.com/liftkit...ltergeis/31259

It took me about 3.5 hours to install and about the same to figure out what was wrong.

Nice work NPD! I figured it was something backwards or upside down...
