NOooo!!! Next time... IF someone hits you, you get their name, address, phone number,
drivers license number, and their insurance co. and make THEM pay for the repairs!
Even if you don't recognize any damage right away!

Anywhoo... I'm not exactly sure which "bolt" your talking about,
I would say... try to bend it back... but I don't feel comfortable with that!
when it comes to steering and brakes, I wouldn't want either one to fail!

Here's a pic of the steering gear assy, which part is it?

Well this is really gonna suck for you because if you have the older style steering that part is no longer made and the only way to get it repaired is replace the rack assy ($120.00) with the newer style which has a bigger part # 16.

Unless someone has a good one laying around........

I understand that 95... I was saying don't bend it back and eventually have it fail on you!
(Causing you to be a "numbnutz" like the ATV guy with no brakes, and hurting yourself or someone else!)
Safety has always been my biggest concern on any vehicle, brakes and steering are the 2 at the top of the list!

Crash may be correct on that, my CC dealer's website only shows it for an electric!

Inner Steering Rack Joint - Round body - CC electric 84 - 96 #1013041
Inner Steering Rack Joint - Hex body - CC 97 and up #1018820-01

These are not the ones you need, but, at least, now you know what part (by name) your looking for,
and hopefully someone has a good used one for your gasser!

Good luck!

Only reason I know is I had a 92 DS in a couple of weeks ago and that part was was worn and sloppy.
Dealer said they don't make it any more so you will have to upgrade the rack assy to use the newer style which is bigger. PITA!

Kinda funny they stop making some parts about the time they start wearing out........

I ended up cleaning and repacking with grease and knurling the top ring over in a 100 ton press to tighten it up.
