200 RPM spring
I just recetly got a new 200 RPM spring for my 2004 Club Car Precedent. It looks to me that it goes on to the drive clutch (on the crankshaft), is this true? Also if it does go there it doesnt look like there is alot of room to work with, does this mean that I have to drop the engine out of the cart, or is there another way to gain more space? Thanks

Re: 200 RPM spring
shouldn't need to drop the engine i don't think. crankshaft only about an
inch and a half long inside drive clutch. you will however need to buy a drive clutch puller tool to remove the drive clutch. after the clutch is off you will have to seperate the two side generally with a press (or hammer and socket). just be carefull. before you seperate the two sides mark a line in one spot so you know where to line it back up when you put it together. the clutches are balanced and it will shake if you don't get it back together the same. i have installed this spring in my 92 gassr and am very satisfied. more rpm's at engage = more tourque. just be ready for a little jerk when it does engage. |

Re: 200 RPM spring
then after a time you will only hear the engine cause it will eventually snap the input shaft to the tranny

Re: 200 RPM spring
A clutch puller won't work with the engine in because the bolt that is holding it on is right behind the frame rail.
