Default 98 gas club car wont fire (start)

I have a 98 gas club car with starting problems. Turns over fine, has spark, fuel, and compression but won’t run.

Here is what the cart was doing just prior to the problem: cart was driving solid for 30 minutes, started to bog down back fired once and would not run after that.

Any advice would be appreciated

Dave

More info on the club car. I talked to a local sales guy and he said it could be the coil sensor going bad and firing at the wrong time or a valve issue? Any of this sound like possible places to start?

Thanks

Dave

how hard do you use cart? you need 3 things for cart to run, spark, fuel and compression..........so double check make sure you have spark......than take fuel line off and make sure its pumping fuel to carb, check compresdsion.......if you have enough compression and your getting good steady spark pull your spark plug see if its wet or dry if dry take carb off and go over it completly every jet every opening..........get a small peice of wire and go thur every hole in jet and used compressed air when blowing thur things.....................................

Shadowman, thanks for the reply.

The cart gets some pretty hard abuse from the kids. It was a hot dusty day when it failed.

I checked fuel flow, spark, and compression and all appeared fine. I will do a more thorough cleaning of the carb.

Thanks

If you have spark, fuel and compression and the motor still won't run, then the best guess would be that your timing is off and the spark isn't happening in time to light off the fuel. Timing is everything
