Default shift cable problem

I'm new here, hello. I have a 94 gas club car, the shift cable from the under seat control to the transaxle pulled apart over the muffler, so it will not shift properly. I got a new cable from a dealer today but it is a new design and has a 90* bend near one end. This apparently changes the routing, has anyone seen this new cable and how does it fit?

If I remember correctly...
On my 2007, the 90 bend is over the top of the muffler, closest to the transaxle shift lever.

Take the cable back and see if they have one of these:
1013085 - TRANS CABLE W/BALL JOINT

For a 92 to 96 gas DS

Thanks for the info, The dealer is an hour away and didn't have the other cable so I made the one I have work. I didn't like the twist it put on the plastic mounting brackets so I made an S curve and turned the 90* bend down a little to help reduce the pressure. I am satisfied now and it works better than ever. I think that old cable had been slipping a little for a long time, I just didn't see it until it got bad. We have a race saturday and are back in the dragster towing business. While it was apart I did an air filter and spark plug.
