Club car air box
What's up! Once again I'm needing some help from the 01 and up DS owners. As you probably already know I am putting the 01 style seats on my 93. I have run into another small snag. When dry fitting the new style hip restraints I noticed the driver's side won't set all the way down due to hitting the air box. Is the air box different on the 01 and up carts? I really don't want to do away with my factory air box as I have already installed a K&N filter, plus I have read that these carts won't run right without it. If anyone knows what's up with this or has some input I would appreciate it.

Re: Club car air box
On your 93, the airbox is strapped on top of the battery,
My 07 has the battery moved back, with the new style air box up front! I don't know what to tell you, but try to find a way to keep your air box! here's a pic of what mine used to look like! (intake tube reworked) Last edited by lockman1; 07-29-2010 at 09:02 PM.. Reason: editing as I go.... |

Re: Club car air box
Holy Crap That is way different than mine. That showed me what I needed to see, but that's not exactly what I was wanting to see. I guess its back to the drawing board. I dont see a way to make this work without removing the air box and putting the K&N filter directly on the carb. Now my question is how true is the rumor that my cart will not run as good with this setup?

Maybe there's a way to shim the seat up off of the airbox? |

Lockman - do you ever drive those things on the pavement or out of the showroom? I mean they're PRISTINE clean! How do you do that? [don't mean to hijack this thread].

Trust me... it's not that clean, (but cleaner then some I've seen!) and it's mostly driven on gravel roads, I bought it brand new in 07, and rinse the engine compartment every other wash! (just one of those "habits") |
