Default 87 club car clutch snaped

hey guys my 87 club car rear clutch snapped in half after trying to take it off with a puller

but

there is a thin piece of steel/round plate on the shaft still with a thin cut line down it and at the end of the shaft looks like a locking collier but it has a hex key in it DOES THAT COME OFF TO ???

if so any ideas how to get the rest of the parts off since the hole clutch is broke off

get some liquid wrench or pb blaster'""not wd40""""
and start soaking the shaft and square key.
It may help to jack up the side of the cart to let it lay in there.

If you can find it in your area, something I have found that works much much better than Blaster or Liquid Wrench is "Aero Kroil" it's very expensive, I paid like $12 for the last 10 oz. can I got, but, it works great. Looking at my can, it has a web site kanolabs.com. Spray it down and let it set over night to start out. things from this point on can get dangerous for your shaft & case & seals, especially for someone with little experience. I will wait a bit before saying what I would do next.

After you clean up the shaft but before you put it all back together, get some Permatex Anti-Seize and coat the contact surfaces of both parts before you put it back together again. If you ever have to take it apart again, it will slip right off like new.
