Default electrical

I was removing the key switch and sparks flew between two of the wires and now the cart won't start. Some genius removed the fuses and straight wired the everything. Can the key switch go bad or what typically would be effected by sparks at the key switch.

That has always been a problem on the CCs. Check the micro switches at the F&R switch. They pop real easy.

One is a neutral lock out, the other activates the reverse buzzer iirc. Check the site sponsors for spares. To test, you will need to use an ohm meter across the NO, NC contacts for correct action of the switch. The positions are stamped into the switch housings.

There are 4 micro switches on your cart. Probably none of them are bad. They are super easy to test. They cost about $3.00 each plus shipping. Cheapest parts to replace n the whole cart...EXCEPT...

...FIRST CHECK THE 10 AMP FUSE IN THE BLACK BOX.

READ the following post and check out the photos there... GENERATOR 101. It should be instructive where to find these items on your cart and how to test them.

F&R switch is "shorthand" for FORWARD and REVERSE lever.
