How hard is it to put a 88 engine into a 92 club car any major problems i might run into?

welcome to bgw!!
well i put a motor from a 92 into my 88 clubcar the only difference i ran into if i remember correctly was the throttle cable box, with all the sylenoids in ot was mounted different.. but it should not be a problem at all. when i did it i by passed the speed gov and hooked the cable directly to the carb.. but i also had the complete wire harness for the 92 to swap in also, im not sure on any differences there. good luck!! |

Just remember.. this is the old flat head motor. It's not the good motor that came with the 92. You will probably be dissappointed in the performance, but the swap should be pretty easy to do.

what year did they go to the ohv? kinda curious, the motor i put in my cc has ohv and i was told it was a 92 model, just curios if i got a better deal than i thought..

The OHV engine was 92-96 It's a really nice stock motor

97-present still use the OHV motor, just different rotation...
