FE290 and 23" tires
Will my '95 Carryall 1 turn the 23x10 489s (aluminum wheels) reasonably well?
I plan on installing the springs in my clutches to attain more torque as well. |

Re: FE290 and 23" tires
WELCOME to BGW, Daryl!
I recently purchased a 2000 carryall with Fe350 and 23" tires. It is not responsive at all off the line. I am going to do some clutch work. But for me the cart is too long legged, if you know what I mean. My carryall came with a Z lift on it and the 23" tires rubbed......SO, I had to build another 2" lift now tires clear. Good luck. |

Re: FE290 and 23" tires
Thanks for the welcome,
It will have a 8" a-arm lift & will carry nothing more than me, the girl, and maybe a cooler. I plan on sending my clutch away to be machined. I will also install the clutch springs. I'm not looking for a speed deamon (at least 10-15mph though), just something to cruise around the trails on the outskirts of mudfests (not through the mud). Use No-No's formula for getting the most of your motor. There are also motor fix up kits for the CC a cartpartsplus.com. K&N filter, carb jets, new exhaust... Great kit
