Default Started my 05 Club Car DS build tonight

Finally got started rebuilding my golf cart into a buggy tonight. This is my first dealings with a cart so wish me luck.

I plan on adding a 6" Jakes spindle lift, heavy duty rear springs, flip rear seat, new belts, remove and paint (camo) the body, a head light and tail light kit, a rear view mirror, 22 x 11 x 10 All Trail tires with new black steel wheels, black diamond plate rocker panels, fender flares, brush guard, winch, fold down windshield. I will add a roll cage and radio later.

When i bought it

A few pics from tonight

I will taking the body off tomorrow morning. Found this doing a search. Does it look like it would apply to an 05 gas?

First for the rear body..
1. you can pull the top off and the seats off at the same time, but that must be done first....total of around eight bolts(give or take 2, cause i cant remeber quite what the 2000's set up looks like).
2.then there are two bolts under where a golf bag would sit in the back, and two more on the bottom of the body where your feet sit when you drive.
3.Also all the bolts that hold the forward/reverse switch and charger receptical (if electric)
Then for the front cowel....
1. Remove the front bumper and you will see either pop clips or bolts holding the body to the frame..
2. then there are a few tiny flat head or philips screws(or 8mm heads) where the body meets the trim above the glove boxes and down the side all the way to the floor of the cart... just be sure not to back those all the way out cause there a pain in the *** to get back in if they come all the way out!

that should be it........

Had to go to Vegas for a week on business but I am back working on the buggy.

Had some new rubber waiting on me when I got back

Also had my lift kit in

Bought some heavy duty springs for the rear

Lift and tires on

Finished my camo job although it seems to scratch easy

Head light and tail light kit installed

More to come
