need help 99 gas club car
i just picked up a 99 gas cc it seems to run fine but it has a lot less pulling power in forward than reverse it does have a lift and bigger tires
the motor seems to be fine just doesnt have the power up hills in forward but if i try in reverse it has plenty of power and will spin the tires loose also what weight oil do i use and spark plug thanks for any help |

I believe you will find this is the case with nearly all carts. The gear ratio is lower in reverse, so it won't go as fast backwards. And, going along with slower would naturally be stronger. (Just like putting a 4 speed in a lower gear) Yes, that is a normal drawback of bigger tires with a stock engine. I have a 92 CC & I run straight 30 weight oil in the summer, and my garage is heated, so I can get away with the same in the winter. If your cart sits in the cold in the winter, you might want to go to a 10-40 in the winter. as far as the plug goes, you better double check a book or get some other input. I "think" it is the same as mine and I think mine is currently running an Autolite #64 and I think the gap is .028 or .030, but check to be sure.
