I have a very touchy pedal on my 87 CC. It's like you have to stmp it and run full throttle or when trying to drive beside my wife when she is walking fast it does the herky jerky. Is there a way to adjust this out or is it normal? TIA

Check your Air filter box lid... and the hose from it, to the carb...
they need to be connected tightly... CC engines run like you described, when they're getting TOO much air! Also... you can check your carb when the engine is running in maint. mode, and spray carb cleaner around the carb body and bolted connections! If the engine boggs down when the carb is being sprayed, you have an air leak! I know this because, I modified my air box for MORE air flow to the carb... Big mistake! I had to replace the bottom of the air box! It was either that, or rejet my brand new carb, on my brand new cart! |
