increasing tire size on a 2002 DS
Let me know if this is a stupid question..
 What is the largest tire I can use on my cart without doing a lift? If it's possible to increase the tire size, what is the right size (larger) tire for the stock 8" rim to fit my Club car without having to use a wheel spacer? Any golf Cart tire experts here?  |

You can fit 20x10x8 rubber on your original wheels. That's about as big as you can go without rubbing....

are you sure you can use 20 inch tires on a cart with no lift? i am thinking with 20 inch you have to use at least a 3 inch lift...........

Stock is 18", if you go to 20" thats only one more inch from center up under the front fender and there is plenty of room in the rear.

I was running 20.5 inch loadstars on my campground cart with only minimal rubbing when it was loaded with 4 big adults and pulling the kiddie trailer.
the solution i cheaply did was to add shackles from an xrt 850(i think it was) they are about a inch and a half longer. no more rubbing. think they were under $20 at the dealer -Aaron |
