Default 225/35/ 12 Tires

I am new to the forum so forgive me if I mess this up. I have a 2001 Club Car DS and am wanting to put these tires on. The wheels are a fairway alloy agressor 12x7. The only problem i am having is they are rubbing when turning. They look great!! I just bought these and they stated they would fit on a nonlifted cart. Is there a way to lift my cart without spending $300.00 or more dollars. I just need a inch or two.. Thanks guys

Your front spring may be weak after nine years, a heavy duty spring from one of our sponsers may be all you need.

there is a 1 inch spacer available for front ends. i have never used one but it says it will work.

my first thing would be to replace the front spring with a new stock one though. i do know that i was having a small problem with mine rubbing and after some checking mine was totally shot. so i went through my used pile and found a better one. going to order a new hd one out the next time i place an order...

Do you think i can get these tires(225/35/12) to fit without a lift after installing a new spring and block? The wheel is a 12x7 Fairway alloys aggressor wheel. I did notice that from ground to bottom of cart in front is nine inches and the rear is 10. If you guys think a new spring and a 1 inch spacer block will work i will give it a try. Just dont want to sink a lot of money in it if i am going to need a 3 inch lift anyway. Thanks guys!!!

As a TEMPORARY try out, could you not pop a 1" wood block in there and see if that solves your clearance issues before you shell out the ackers for the real deal ?
Just a thought.

i don't think it would hurt. if you go to a 3 inch jakes lift you can use the new spring anyway. i would maybe start with the spring and see where that gets you. and like chris said maybe pop in a chunk of wood for a REAL TEMPORARY CHECK.

I have seen lots of pictures of carts with that combo that were not lifted

I just ordered the fairway sixer wheels. The offset is a little different than the aggressor with the same size tires. I was told they will clear but after much research who knows until I actually install them. If they don't the extention kit that Jake's Lift offers will make them clear. Think they can be found for $100-$130.

Good luck and hope this helps!!
