Re: 13hp clone
It can be wired either way.
And yes you can tone down the idle with the idle screw. See your motor's manual. |

Re: 13hp clone
Check the ground on the key switch, if it isn't making a good connection then you will be able to start the engine but not stop it with the key switch. A lot of times the powder coat will cause this to happen.

Re: 13hp clone
What is the brand name on your clone?
I have a 16hp "Power Mate". Sitting beside my buddies Honda you can't tell the difference except for the color. I know I'm gonna catch it over this My motor does fine for what I need it for and I know you Honda guys are going to hang me but for the money I decided to gamble on it. The idle on my motor is sensitive but bearable and it adjusts on the rear of the carb....black knob under the airbox. Good Luck and welcome, Bryan |

Re: 13hp clone
Some clones even had the same color.....My old one did. All it needed was the honda sticker....

I got my clone from Ebay...16hp elec start delivered to my door for 452.00 So far I'm happy with the motor, everything seems to be working fine. I wired the control panel where the factory ignition was on the cart so I would have a key start instead of the reg pedal start. Bryan |
