03 Gas loseing spark
OK I think I have a Ignition Coil problem. I can be driving and it just turns off and the started motor comes on. If I pull the plug wire off and hook up an old spark plug it get spark back and I can put the plug wire back on the plug and go again.
Does anyone know how to check the coil/igniton? |

Re: 03 Gas loseing spark
You can check it all you want Medic but I doubt you will get a definitive reading. You have what sounds to be a classic Igniter / coil breakdown issue. If all else is good, RPM limiter, grounds ignition etc I'd wager a hard on to a dead cert lay That your issue lies in the coil. Check the search function for more detailed information and Q & A's.

My 2001 did the spark and no spark thing until it completely quit. It turned out to be the ignition coil.
