2007 club car precedent gas carb problem I believe
Bought cart stock and ran for 10 hours or so and all was well.. Now its lifted with jakes 6" spindle and 23" tires. Has a problem staying runnung.. Will run for a mile or less and shut down, the generator will still be turning but no start of motor.. then after 5-7 seconds of it trying to start it will start and run maybe 50 - 70 feet or so and die again.. it will do this maybe every 3-4 rides, sometimes it will not do it at all and run fine.. the problem is getting worse and I need help.. The battery tested at 12.7 volts but when it tries to start dies down to 10.7 volts.. Any suggestions.

Not sure it is same problem, but I had a 07 built that was sitting on a CC lot for a few months. Guy picked it up for me and drove it before doing lift etc. He delivered it and was perfect for a few days then it just quit running. Turned out fuel sitting in it had destroyed fuel lines and inside of fuel pump.

Re: 2007 club car precedent gas carb problem I believe
Sounds like you are running the bowl dry on carb, and when it sit's it will slowly fill back up and run til dry again. I would clean carb and retry.
Or try this: When it stops again shut off the fuel valve at tank, and then put either on jack stands or jack up rear and try to crank. Pull hose off of end of carb that goes to air box, gently spray just a little carb cleaner in carb and try again if it hits you probably have a jet clogged or some trash in carb. I have cleaned over 60 carbs this year alone (new record) 10% Ethanol???? Everything has been GREEN inside. Let us know what you find out. |

Re: 2007 club car precedent gas carb problem I believe
Well I took the battery out and had it load tested, it was shot.. Installed new battery and cart is screaming around the neighbor hood, maybe 3-4 hours today with not one sputter. Haven't touched the carb at all. My luck is not this good so I am waiting on something to happen..Thanks for the help, Where are the stickies on this website..
