Default 2008 Precedent Oil Light

Oil light comes on and off. Oil and filter were recently changed. Oil level is perfect. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply, Rose! We were just driving slowly and it started occasionaly flickering on and off. Approximately 3 hrs. later we drove it and it did not come on.

Check the yello wire going behind the motor, could be a dirty connection.

A ground on the wire between your oil light and switch will turn the light on. The wire on my 2001 is yellow as Dale said.

on my ds the light is a level light. when i first bought my carryall it came on when first started. level was perfect and it had just gotten an oilchange. problem is that it was cold and the oil wasn't flowing. i changed to mobile 1 and it hasn't even flickered since. even after sitting out in the woods for a few hours while cutting firewood and then starting it up

On my other cart it was an rpm issue. it would not flow fast enough back to the sump even when warm. mobil 1 fixed that issue as well
