Default Wiring stereo to key switch.

Where do I connect my positive wire on my stereo if I only want the stereo to have power when the key is switched on?

It is a 1990 Club car DS, gas.

You are correct.

How I connected mine was by adding a small automotive type fuse box that I powered directly off the battery. It's still switched via a relay connected to the white ignition wire. That allowed me to run headlights and overhead off road lights right from that fuse box. Just a thought in case you are planning on adding any other accessories.

I use a reducer on the golf carts, this way when riding you dont have to worry about the radio cutting off or shorting anything out. but remember if you do it with the key switch you have 48 volts going through the system and radios are only 12 volt systems.

Why would there be 48 volts??? It's a gas cart.
