2010 CC Precdent Mods
Hello:
As I posted in the introduction section, I just trade up to 2010, plane Jane Gas CC Precedent. It has nothing in the way of upgrades so I am looking at doing a lot with, especially over the summer. I have zip tied the governor but I would like to squeeze some more speed out of it. I saw the sticky above with the The Best Performance Modifications but I am wondering if all of these apply to the 2010 Kawasaki setups as well. If so, should I look at any meaning in the the order that these modifications are listed? Most speed first, easiest first etc.. Thanks in advance. |

Re: 2010 CC Precdent Mods
There's a couple of things you have to consider...
First off is your warranty... 2 years personal, if something happens, are you willing to give up the warranty, and "pay" for it? (when I bought my cart new... I wasn't!) and just how much "extra" speed are you expecting from an 11 1/2 hp engine? (FE350 w/ACR per tahoedawg) |

Re: 2010 CC Precdent Mods
Thanks for the reply and thanks for the extra thought. I did not think about the warranty end of this before but I cannot say that it changes my mind all that much. I bought this used so half of the motor warranty is already over and by the time I get to some of these mods, my second year will almost be over. As such, I am comfortable the warranty aspect.
I have it up to about 19 mph on the GPS now and I would love it get it up to 25-30 mph if possible. |

Well... 19 is about the max your going to get with everything stock,
Now, your going to have to start spending money! Here are just a few things to start with: First off, you'll need Maintenance Service manuals for your cart.

Re: 2010 CC Precdent Mods
Great, thank you.
So is 25-30 realistic with some of these mods? My Jakes kit was delivered on Friday and I should be installing that with the new tires this week. I will get in touch with Cart Plus for the other stuff, with the exception of the Big Block. I have to leave something to do next year. Lol. Thanks again. |

Re: 2010 CC Precdent Mods
I ordered the carb jet and air filter an I was going to install the jet next weekend. Does any know where I can a schematic or diagram of major components of the motor for this cart?

Re: 2010 CC Precdent Mods
Are you looking for the "blow up" of the carb to see where the jet goes? or are you looking for the whole engine?

Mostly just of the carb to see where the jet goes.
It would be nice to have the entire engine but the carb is all I really need. |

Re: 2010 CC Precdent Mods
Here's a pic of an FE290 carb... they're relatively the same!
#6 is the jet: ~Drain and remove the carb from the engine, turn upside down, mark the bowl position to the carb with a marker, ~Remove the bolt on the center of the bottom of the bowl, carefully remove the bowl from the carb body, ~without disturbing the float, look in the center, and you'll see the jet, ~With a flat blade screw driver, unscrew it, and remove the old jet, ~What I'm guessing is the secondary jet (#14) may come out with it, note the position, and reinstall with the new jet, ~set the new jet in, and tighten snug, reassemble the bowl to the carb, and the carb to the engine. |
