oil light and engine cuts off?

ok so I changed my oil and put the 1.6 quarts now the light goes on and engine cuts out every so often? what can i do to prevent this? ive read that if i drain and put syth would possible fix the issue? did i put too much in? would that trigger the light?

ok update checked plug gap and it was off now. 029 oil light only flashes when its warm.. and also whne the engine cuts out it seems to be at the higher rpms..but i do not have a rpm guage but also i did not do anything to rpms just adjusted the cable and acc pedal..

1.6 quarts is including a new, dry filter. Did you change it or just change the oil ?

well by adjusting the throttle cable and peddle U have no doubt speed
up the cart and are hitting the upper end of the RPM limit.

There is a REV limiting circuit on the engine, once it gets 2 far above 3,000 RPM's
it backs the engine off to prevent damage.
Have a friend loan U a tachometer,
Put the cart in Maint. mode
and check RPM at top speed.

well how can i bring the rpms back down?? that black cable? also yes 1.6 qts and filter..should I use a lighter oil? I used 10.30
