solenoid buzzing sound

club car, mid-late ninties version

ok, heres the deal. cart ran fine, great actually, until one day the solenoid started making a buzzing sound when the gas was pressed in. therefore, went and got a new one but still the same old song.

when the key is turned and gas is pressed in the box clicks and then directly after the solenoid just "buzzes". and continues to do so until gas is released.

what should i do?? solenoid is brand new.

Does it do so even if the gas isn't pressed? If so it may be a bad battery, or bad positive or negative connection.

no it doesn't do so until the gas is pressed. also, i don't think its the battery as it is relatively new.

suggestions??

Start with your battery. Make sure terminals are clean and tight.
Sounds like there's not enough 'juice' to hold the solenoid on.

Make sure all the grounds for the the cart are good. ( motor, starter, battery)
