Default Rev. Buzzer Possessed !?

I brought a '99 carryall home a while back. It had a rough life on a golf course, so it is fairly abused and has been maintained (or not) and repaired by a landscape technician...( lots of tape and wire) So now you get the picture...
I worked on getting it running a month ago. Only to come home from work the following day to hear the reverse buzzer going. Weird... Well day before yesterday I got to it again and ran it around and pressure washed it ,adjusted some things, etc. . The following day my wife called me at work, the buzzer was going off. She turned the key off and it stopped. 1/2 hour later she calls again, the buzzer is going off...she took it out of maintenance mode, it stopped?
I think both times I had left it in maintenance mode? Anyone else with similar experience? Both times it took 12 hours for the buzzer to begin to sound off!?

My reverse buzzer works only when it wants to as well. Mine does not get juice through the key switch. It gets juice through the micro on the shift lever. I haven't traced it as far as the buzzer but I think that it is probably just the buzzer that is going bad, not working all the time. If you don't care to have the buzzer at all you could just unhook the wire at the micro to disable it.

I know but, every one of my carts end up on the construction site at some point and you never know when Ochsa is coming or God forbid you run someone over and it doesn't work? So I leave the darn things in...But I prefer not to have them going off in the middle of the day 16 hours after anyone has touched em last.

Sounds like the little spring in the micro switch is broken or going bad. Replace it and you shouldn't have to call the excorcist.

Crossover scotty, into the light! into the light!!
