Need a little more info?

No Power= won't go or it just will not get up to speed fast enough?

Hey bobby its a golf cart not a monster truck!
Top speed unchanged on a carryall is around 12 to 14 mph. Zip tied governor or rev limiter pulled your looking at alround 20mph! Just remember its a golf cart, not a monster truck!
But you may have a issue wth your clutches, belts, blah blah blah. Are your belt in good shape?> are they riding at the top of the clutches? If not call tom at ccp and get you a new set of heavy duty belts! Carry alls avave a diffent belt then the ds. It is slightly short for a little more torque. The ds us the llonger belt, cause golf cart are made for toting people and golf clubs!

Yeah, need to know what no power means. My Carryall 2 did 12mph on the GPS when I got it, with the zip tie mod I have it running 18mph now. It would scoot right up to 12mph but then the governor would kick in and throttle it back.

Make sure you use a tach and keep the RPMs under 4200 if you zip tie it. I'm set right at 4050 at WOT on flat ground which is just fine for me. I have rarely used WOT since setting it but it's nice to know it's there :D

Hey e i can get 22 on mine, all stock, just a ziptie on the governor. I have it on the arm, so if i have to i can put it in back in turtle mode from turbo mode! Keep the rpms below 4k. The veterans on here will tell you the valave basicly float at 4k!

Yeah, I was aiming for 4K and got 4050 on try 3. 3800 on try 1 and way over 4000 on try 2 but I didn't stay there long enough for the tach to settle out to a number. It was hitting the limiter...

I let out 2 coils on the spring and got 4050. I saw your mod and am going to convert mine to that because having the ability to turn it on and off is good stuff. I won't always drive it wide open but the kids will.

Not sure why I'm only at 18mph, maybe defective GPS or tach. The motor sounds good at this RPM so I'm not too concerned and I'm not looking to make it much faster than it is now but 12mph felt quite slow.

My tach is a Matco MD590 automotive DMM that I just bought used and haven't calibrated yet so I'll be checking it out soon

Question Re: club car carry all 2

the top speed is about 11.5 - 12 mph on gps but doesn"t seem to have power to pull up local hillwithout slowing down. When carrying 4 people it will hardly make it up the same hill. The G-1 that I hove will pull the hill with 4 people no problem. there appears to be a lot of blow-by out of the oil fill tube. would this cause a lack of power?

That sounds like a piston ring or worn bore issue Bobby. Compression getting past the rings will pressurise the case and cause your symptoms. Start off with a compression test. Ideally you want to see 150psi but 120 and up should be acceptable.

I NEVER PUT MY STYLE OF BYPASSING THE GOVERNOR ON HERE, AT LEAST IN PICTURES, BUT I CAN.
I ALSO KNOW A GPS IS NOT AS ACCURATE AS A SPEEDO, SINCE IT USES TRIANGLULAR DETETION BASICLY BETWEEN 3 DIFFENRT SATALITES OUT IOF THE AVILABLE 12 OR 16 IN THE SIR. SO IF YOUR ACUARATE WITHIN 2 MPH I SAY YOUR FINE. AFTER ALL IT IS ONLY A GOLF CART!

Nooo, not pictures, it was here
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...tml#post577280

I have 3 GPS units I have used and they read within 0.3mph of each other at worst. Moving them from vehicle to vehicle I can find a 10%+ speed difference in my speedos. They read very close in my truck but off by quite a bit in my car and motorcycle.

I would certainly trust a calibrated speedometer but for quick and dirty I think GPS gets me inside 1 mph.
