Re: 96 cc keeps running.
I would check the butterfly in your carb and make sure that it is closing completely. I don't know about the fuel. I guess it could be an issue as well.

Re: 96 cc keeps running.
Is your cart a pedal start? If it is, and you say it keeps running, then it sounds like you have a limit switch not working/not set right. I would be checking the limit switches in the black box.

Re: 96 cc keeps running.
You need to check your engine first, throttle switch, carburetor settings and make sure that you have the correct spark plug. If all that checks out then you have to check why you have a source of ignition with the engine off. This could well be carbon build up or a damaged piston as this article states

Re: 96 cc keeps running.
It could be the limit switches. Either one is bad or out of adjustment. Accel pedal linkage could be out of adjustment. We had a cart in the shop about a week ago with basically the same problem. I checked all of the switches and even replaced them and no luck. Come to find out after I pulled the black plastic cover off of the carb I noticed that it wasn't adjusted properly and the butterfly wasn't closed completely. Adjusted that and no more problems.

Re: 96 cc keeps running.
Check cable going into black box, make sure you can only see about a 1/4" of
threads outside the box. Could be adjusted too tight and will not shut off? |
