Engine wont run above Idle

It's dark and I was bringing my 2001 up from the lake. Drove it down just fine 45 minutes earlier. Got in started great but the engine would not rev above idle. Cart would not move in forward or reverse, just idling. Anybody have a suggestion what to look for in the morning? Could it be just a cable to the carb?

It could be something that simple Slo or it it could be something else. It sounds like your cart isn't firing to start the motor. Another rev limiter issue ? Dissconect the ground wire from it and see what happens.

Ground wire will be the brown one coming off of rev limiter box on front of engine.
