Hard suspension
My 86 Gas Club Car has a real stiff suspension. Stock suspension. I have driven a lot of other carts here and they all have a lot softer suspension than mine. The others were all electric carts so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. I have lowered my tire pressure to 10 PSI with little help. I know my shocks are shot (are shocks really $25 each!) but that shouldn’t make it ride so hard. It’s as if it has no suspension at all.
Any ideas? |

Re: Hard suspension
I would think new shocks would only make it even stiff'er, I see it as looking as a shock gets age the seals get wear and the shock moves very easy, this is why when like in a car on a free way you hit a bump and the car keeps bouncing for a half mile down the road, the new shock takes the hit then instantly restabilizes the car.
My cart is an 01 with factory suspention but lifted 7.5 ( it's factory caz I made a Z lift for the front) but anyways I thought about going to the HD leafs but like you said it was stiff enough already and since I wasn't having any rubbing issues I keep what I had, well I guess with the leverage of the lift I suppose , it softened it up just a touch more and now I couldnt ask for a much better ride. I have ATV tires on 24-11-10's and they call for 5 psi. |
