Default '99 Club Car Oil Help

Hey Folks,
New to this forum and the cart world. Just took possession of a 1999 Cliub Car yesterday. It was a golf club cart before and I know what I am getting into. I plan to repair and refurbish it. It's a winter project.

But being new at this and wanting to get going right away, I need a veteran's help. The cart is leaking oil. When I ride it for a few minutes and then park it, a little puddle forms underneath it. What would be the first thing I should check? Looking under the engine, i can see that it might have been leaking for a little while since there is a fair amount of grime.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks in advance!

Sebas

is it leaking from the engine? if so you got to look at the case gasket , or the plug onthe right side or pass side of the engine. i had a 99 doing the same thing and it was teh case gasket. so to replace it i had to get it and the crank seal on the pulley side. you will need to get a clutch puller too. runs around 35 to 40 bucks. the seals and gaskets are ruffly 30 for the parts.

if your in question get some engine degreaser and clean the snot oout of the engine the run it. it should be a lot easier to see you leak.

Thanks.. Thats what I will do! It definitely needs a good cleaning anyways. I am stripping the cart down this week to start the build so I will clean it all up at the same time! I need to order a lift kit this week as well... hopefully from a supplier who won't charge an arm and a leg in shipping.. lol!

i will keep you guys posted on the results from the oil leak investigation!
