Cart "jerks hard" on start
I've got a 97 CC that "jerks" into motion when the throttle is pressed. It's like the engine winds up a bit too much then the drive clutch finally pops open very roughly. This is not even flooring it, but just lightly pressing on the gas.
Any ideas what would be causing this to happen? could something in the drive clutch be worn out? maybe the thrust washer? Thanks for any ideas, or suggestions you can provide. Dave in SLC |

Re: Cart "jerks hard" on start
Thanks, it's definitely in the drive clutch, and it's not a surge, its a HARD jerk. Seems like the clutch just stays closed too long, then when it opens it opens VERY abruptly.
Weights sticking? Thrust washer worn too much? something else? |
