1985 Club CAR
Doing a brake job, I replaced brake cables and installed new brake pads, no problem, The problem is getting the axles back into the differential. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to do this? The manual says splines should align fairly easy by rotating to fit differential.
I'm working on this for my Dad, he's in his 80's drives it in his local community parades, he's a retired fire chief. See photo of cart. I didn't think I'd have as much trouble with this brake job. If any one can help with a trick or two, before I consider taking rear end apart, It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Boatmdr |

Re: 1985 Club CAR
I'm answering this to myself and all who might be interested. I had tried to turn the transmission pulley to help align axle with no results, got hold of an extra set of hands and had them turn pulley while I applied pressure to axle while sliding it into the differential. It aligned right up.
Thanks to all anyway, it's nice to have a place to ask questions that may help me and others. Boatmdr |
