Re: a couple of pics, gauges
thank ya'll so much,
BGW hooked me up!!! made this dumb country texas boy look good it goes to show, that there are still people out there that care.i know i am slow, it took a whole week and lots of posts.... but you guys here on BGW walked me through it step by step, till i got it right. and now i have somthing to be proud of, gauges that actually work. i may not have the fastest cart in the hood, but i do have the loudest sound system, and those gauges are defiantly the talk of the town. every redneck around wants to see how i done it....lol Tom sells this one bad as$ tach, that matchs my other gauges, 90 bucks, come on santa be nice.(fancy tach & 8" lift kit) |

Re: a couple of pics, gauges
thanks popatop,
old school was what i was going for, the reason i did the dash in birch, was because my front bumper is birch too. i live 300 yards from the beach and wanted rod holders on the front. this is what i came up with. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac...1&d=1321794212 |

Re: a couple of pics, gauges
thanks tom,
they were a gift from a friend mind who decided, (Dude your not gonna put those in your 53.......are ya????) he wanted much nicer gauges. they came from auto zone as a set, i took the mounting bracket that the gauges install to, an chucked it. bored my own holes, shortened the gauge brackets to fit the birch. installation: the guys on here made it possible, i have a service manual, and no where in it does it say how install gauges, soft smile appears.... i will see if i can post a couple of connections, like oil temp, oil pressure |

Re: a couple of pics, gauges
VERY COOL PCC!
So... I'm guessing you tied the oil pressure line at the plug on the oil filter mount? and if so... show us a pic of that in your other thread for future readers! http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...uge-set-s.html |

Re: a couple of pics, gauges
yess, Don
you are one of "THOSE" people who helped make this happen. it's awesome to have people like yourself and others , who take the time (get outs my crayons and coloring book) to explain in a manner that some dumb as$ Texas redneck such as myself can understand! and thats what makes BGW a great forum |
