Default '90 Gas CC-Engine Froze

Completely stock, used around my property. Started slowing down many months ago, little smoke, shiny particles in oil when drained-had been getting tired for a while. I was going up a steep drive, 'clanking' metal noise got very loud & motor froze. Are these worth rebuilding? Anyone know of used motor availability in Northern Cal? Cart was given to me 3 years ago because it 'was ready to crap out' my cousin said. Have grown to be dependent on it & now need to make a decision. Thanks for any input. (ser # G9017205101)

thats a KF-82 and its quite hard to come by...............and yes they are re-buildable and worth it, 1st thing is get it out of cart and see just how much damage you did and if its re-buildable yes i would either that or drop a big block in it.....................fi gure your gonna have 500 to 600 on a complete rebuild kit but thats nothing compared to 2 grand for a new one...........they arn,t hard to rebuild once you get it out you got 5 hours or less work and its ready to go............................
