trouble starting ds cc fe290

Fe290 2000.5 DS gasser

After setting for a few weeks she wouldn't start. She turns over but won't fire. I am getting fuel and spark. The starter solenoid clicks. I have the carb torn down and soaking. I scrubbed it with a wire brush and will replace all gaskets. If she doesn't fire after this I am lost. Thats about as far as this Noob can go with out hollering HELP!

Any tips and or advice would be greatly appreciated.

if you pull the hose off the fuel pump going to the carb, are you getting fuel then? if not....take compressed air and blow thru fuel pump and see what happens. other than that make sure the throttle cable is pulling. also, maybe try shooting some starting fluid thru spark plug hole and turn over a few times to clean that out. also, make sure the spark plug isnt fouled from flooding the engine. seen that a ton of times.

Thanks Taco I replaced the plug(it had the wrong one)sprayed some carb cleaner and re assembled the carb and she runs like a champ!
