Cart keeps running after let off gas
I recently swapped engines out on my 99 Club Car DS. After install, it fired right up with some white smoke coming out the exhaust. The engine will keep running when I let off the gas pedal. The only way to get it off is to push the cable to manually close the carb. Would this be a carb problem or a linkage problem.

Re: Cart keeps running after let off gas
In the "black box" down by the battery are two micro switches. One is for run, the other kills the engine when the throttle is released. You will also see where the throttle cable enters the box and actuates the switches via a cam. Make sure the switches are being actuated correctly and if not, adjust the cable.
