Red face Wiring headache, or is it starter trouble?

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me!! We just got our first clubcar, a 1991 model carry all II plus. It's latest problem involves starting, and shuting off. It will not start with out a jump, and once it is started, it will not shut off untill you pull the spark plug wire. Any suggestions??

first i would say your bat needs to be charged or replaced, second the motor shuts down when micro switch on gas pedal is closed. This cuts the spark to the coil. Hope this helps.

Thank you! Now all I have to do is find a place to buy the switches. Surely they are cheap enough that I can afford to replace both of them!(There are two right?Stacked?) I found some online, but I have to find out what motor I have so that I get the right switches. Thanks again!

Jessi, I am 99% sure you have a fe 290 kawasaki motor. There should be a sticker on the fan shroud or a stamp on the starter mount bracket........
Did that carberator clean up?
