94 club car drive clutch rebuild
Ok so have all the parts to rebuild my drive clutch. I have removed the clutch from the engine and have the puller to remove the clutch housing, but the housing will not move. Am I doing some thing wrong I do not want to strip any threads or crack the housing. I installed the 3 bolts with the grade 8 plate approximately a 1/2" into the housing and tightend on the center grade 8 bolt but nothing is happening and I do not want to ruin the end of the shaft. What am I doing wrong or do ineed to spray it with some pb blaster and try after a few hours of soaking?

Re: 94 club car drive clutch rebuild
Use a steering wheel puller with 3 bolts and screw 7/16 NF bolt in the clutch for the puller to push against. I always have to hit the puller with a 40oz hammer.

Re: 94 club car drive clutch rebuild
Reviving a dead thread here but I'm trying to rebuild the drive clutch on my '99. I have the clutch off and I'm trying to get the cover off to access the buttons and weights. Will any steering wheel puller work or do you have to have the OEM cover puller that CPP sells here http://www.cartpartsplus.com/club-ca...er-puller.html
If I can just rent a steering wheel puller, that would be preferable but wasn't sure. |
