Does this belt help? I have also read about a shorter belt from Napa. How would this belt effect my cart?

Yeah, it does help!

It doesn't slip near as much when climbing hills, initial take off, or when it gets wet! (compared to the OEM belt!)
Plus, I wanted a belt that lasts longer, and can take more of my torture without having to replace it so often.

I've never tried a "shorter" belt, only because my common sense tells me that it would "jerk" at initial take off,
and having either the people, or items (cooler) on my back seat slide off.
I could be wrong, but, I didn't want to take the chance!

I have placed the shorter belt on three different carts from 92 thru 2000 and it works fantastic. No jerky reactions and a ton of torque and power. What year of cart are you wanting to put it on? I know the Napa belt I have used for these years was a high performance heavy duty belt its napa # is 6013 Hope this helps.

Thanks for the fast reply. Is the old belt more likely to do to this or a new one,and may I ask why.

Thanks so much.

I've seem the belt and or clutch cause this but as Shadowman said start with the belt. I suggest a 6013 napa belt its shorter for more low end and helps with top speed also. The clutch might need cleaned with some brake cleaner to help keep it from sticking also.
