BU 6" A-Arm Lift
anyone running the 6 or 8" a arm lift kit on thier carts? mine seems like its tweaked pretty good where the leaf spring attaches to the lower arms with the sway bolt bushing things? seems like the bushings are almost slap wore out and then also seems like the bushings in the upper control arms are jacked up, lots of play in the upper arms. anyone else run across this?

Re: BU 6" A-Arm Lift
I have the 8" on mine and upgraded the sway bar bushings to the poly ones you can buy at Advance Auto Parts. The bushings in the control arms are not the greatest either. Looking for a replacement upgrade for them as well.

Re: BU 6" A-Arm Lift
I have ran across this with other lifts. as stated upgrade the bushings to poly. I have been thinking of making new bushings for the upper from bearing bronze at work. I really need to pull my arms and see if there is a commercially available replacement. much easier to spend a buck each than to take the time to machine them. if you pull yours check mcmaster carrr on line. great selection of bushings!

Re: BU 6" A-Arm Lift
Yes it was a problem with the last lift kit I installed on my old golf cart. It starting showing signs of wear even after a few weeks of driving. I was quite dissapointed in the quality of that lift. The rear leaf springs would torque REALLY bad when you hit the throttle on stock 88 Electric DS and pull the brakes. Could def use some redesigning.
