Welcome to BGW madgasser!

The FZ340 is most commonly referred to as a KF82 flathead here at BGW,
Do a search for KF82's... there's a ton of info on them!

To be honest... I don't know, but, I don't think so!
Usually, if it's the original engine, you can check the carts serial number tag, and that will tell you the year!

I got one in a basket case cart once.... there was a new .50 over piston in the box so for fun we shaved the head, bored the cylinder, and put her back together. She ran great. Plenty of poop, too. That was just one engine.
I have not worked on any other kf82s

is there a rev limiter on this motor. should i feel resistance when i turn the motor, like on a normal engine? when i turn motor manually , spark plug in, no resistance at all makes me wonder about compression. the guy i got it from said valves /rings were just done and cylinders honed, two years ago??
