Default considering big block engine swap

I have 3 club cars but only 2 will be the subject here. First I have a nice 04 DS lifted with 25" tires, with either a fe290 or fe350, how can I tell? I also have an 86 DS with an old flat head that still runs pretty good. I have been considering doing the 23hp vanguard conversion in the 04 and thought I would put the fe in the old 86. Is this possible without much modification? Or should I just sell the fe motor to recoup some $ ?
Thanks for any input.

I thought CC made a rotational direction change in 1992.5 for the Fe engines, (somebody PMed me and said it was 1996.5?) Could be (help) but, everything after that rotates clockwise. Your question is out of the question There is usually a sticker or 2 with the engine size on it on the air cleaner etc. I think the 04 is a 350. there may also be a # in the casting near the carb. fe29 or fe35

Thanks Scotty! Thats exactly what I needed to here. Looks like I will try to sell the fe when I do the big block. I have seen them on ebay for close to 2g, can I realy expect to get that?

The only stupid question is the one not asked..... like "Do you ever see any alligators in this water?"

It's not a dumb question! and it's been asked many times before! (Why do you think I keep those pictures handy!)

and YEP! the rotation change for FE engines was in 1996!

FZ340/KF82 - flat head 1985 to 91 Counter Clockwise rotation
FE290/350 - 1992 to 96.5 Counter Clockwise rotation
FE290/350/400 - 1996.5 to present - Clockwise rotation

It's to my understanding that Club Car is the only manufacturer to change to a clockwise rotation!

So how does the vanguard big block kit combat this between clockwise vs counter clockwise?
