gas club car, starter hesitation
While applying gas peddle to start cart it doesnt respond, two to 7 seconds. After that the cart starts. Could it be a bad starter? The battery is fine.

Re: gas club car, starter hesitation
9 times out of 10 thats caused by a loose starter belt. If that's not it, it may be your starter/gen brushes are wore.

Re: gas club car, starter hesitation
Thanks, I know for a fact its not the belt. I was leaning towards starter. Can the starter be rebuilt cheaper than a new one?

Re: gas club car, starter hesitation
Yea definately cheaper to rebuild than buy a new one. The brushes are only around $30.

Re: gas club car, starter hesitation
I am having the same problem with the hesitation before starting but it finally quite starting all together. I have voltage at the junction box and only 1 volt at the starter. Could it be a bad solenoid?

Here's some good info to check what's wrong. It was written for Yami's but will work on CC too. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-y...turn-over.html

I'm having the same issues on a '07 precedent with a '07 battery fully charged. Could my problems just be stemming from the age of the battery?

Re: gas club car, starter hesitation
Ok, so i bought a new battery Thursday, installed it immediately. Went ride that night and friday night, then we tried to go ride tonight (SUNDAY), and the lights are dim and it wont turn over. I hear a clicking noise, but no fire up.????? i will be putting a volt meter on the batt in the next few days to see if possibly the generator. If it happens to be just the belt, exactly how tight should it be? its pretty tight right now, but its not guitar string tight.
