hesitates when starting
my 2006 precedent gas hesitates 5-10 seconds at times when starting off. any help on what it may be. thanks

It could be one of many things...
2 of which... may be a loose starter/generator belt, or a weak battery! Hey...it's a start!  |

I also have the same problem. I have to pump the gas peddle to get it going. I have an '07. It seems to crank a little sooner after I have charged the battery, but it still does not want to turn over immediately.

I have an 07 DS with the original battery, and my cart hesitates also!
I know for a fact that my battery is on it way out after 5 years of Wisconsin winters, and summer abuse! (If I throw a charger on it over night... it'll start right up in the morning, with no hesitation!) For me... I know it's pretty close to time for me to "pony up" for a new one! Again... that's just my situation, but, for the newer carts that you guys have... You might want to get your batteries load tested just to make sure! my .02 |

Ok, so i bought a new battery Thursday, installed it immediately. Went ride that night and friday night, then we tried to go ride tonight (SUNDAY), and the lights are dim and it wont turn over. I hear a clicking noise, but no fire up.????? i will be putting a volt meter on the batt in the next few days to see if possibly the generator. If it happens to be just the belt for the gen, exactly how tight should it be? its pretty tight right now, but its not guitar string tight.
