mirco switches, solenoid or start/generator. Start with the mirco switches, they are cheap and easy to replace. Solenoid can be tested by putting a screw driver on the the two larger posts and see if the starter spins, if not, you may want to check the starter. To test this, putting jumper cables from the battery to the starter bypassing the solenoid and see if it spins. You can also use a volt meter and test to see whether or not you are getting the correct voltage.

if its squealing thats your starter turning and the pulley slipping, tighten your starter belt...................................

Re: 94 Club cart with Kawasaki FE2 motor starting issue
i saw and heard the click from the micro switch, i bridged the connector on the solonoid and it tried to turn over, could not see the starter while it squealed but belt did not move.
when you push down on gas pedal there is a click, would that indicate the micro switch is functional. |

I'm going to agree with shadowman, tighten your starter/generator belt!
