Default kf82 pulse line problems

Lookig for some ideas here, KF82 just got done with rebuild we have good compression doesnt seem to leak down. But for some reason getting oil in the pulse line using SAE30 none detergent oil checked oil level only put 40oz in checked again. the problem is the line fills up with oil shuts off pulse cart runs out of gas.Anyone ever had this problem, and does anyone have pics of inside engine block is there some kind of tube or baffle or something that keeps oil from entering that cavety of the block. Any help or ideas would be helpful

Are you talking about the rubber line that comes out of the motor above the throttle cable at the front of the motor? I've been inside two of these motors and from what I can remember there's no baffle or anything there. I have an empty block at home I'll grab a pic for you later.

yes there is a line coming off valve cover going to air cleaner and one below that going to fuel pump, thats the pulse line for the fuel pump. does anyone know if there is a valve in the valve cover plate like a reed that might control crankcase pressure. Thank you for pics

I dont think there is, are you running high RPM`s ?, high R`s will make it do that, heres what I do take and make a new hose, route it upward from the block, mabe up the drivers side of the carb and then to the fuel pump, object is, what ever oil gets throwed up in the hose will run right back down the hose back into the engine, fixed several carts like that with no more problems, let me know how you make out................

Yea thought of that even tried using 3/8 solid line instead of 1/4 rubber put steep curve up to pump thought oil cant get up that high. What I think might be happening is the cavity in block fills with oil then the pressure forces oil up hose and stops the pulse, this is just my theory but Im definently running out of gas. no Im not running high RPM got tach and still govener equiped

That cavity shouldn't fill with oil. There's no pressurized oil system in these motors, it's just roughly a quart of oil in the bottom of the crankcase which is distributed throughout with a metal splasher tab attached to the end of the connecting rod. As the motor spins, the oil gets splashed all over the place and that's how it lubricates itself.

Sorry I wasn't able to get pics last night, I'll try and get one tonight.

Yea I know no oil pump but the crank case pressure operates the fuel pump. I put 40 oz of oil in crank case I think for some reason the oil is get trapped in there thats why I was thinking maybe there should be a baffle to keep the oil out of the cavity. I dont think I have excessive crank case pressure I dont seem to have compression leak down, thats also why Im asking about the valve cover is there a valve that controlls the crank case pressure Im told some engine have a reed valve in the that wont let the pressure get to high. It just seems like something simple is missing unfortunately I was not the first rebuild and this problem was there before I rebuilt. I thought Id fix with a overhaul

Here are those pics of the inside of the block. No baffle, just a drilled-out hole.

Make sure the cover is on correctly, is the hose barb to the top of the cover? There is a special gasket that goes behind the cover to stop the oil from getting out of the cover, Keep me posted
