Main jets FE400
Anybody know where I can buy jets for stock Keith carburetor? I need several different sizes. My fe400 is running too lean.

As an alternative to ordering several different sizes that you may not need, you can drill out the stock jet. That's what I did. You'll need a very small drill bit set though.

Re: Main jets FE400
Ya I have bits to drill them out. Only problem was my stock jet is stuck in carb so I'm going to destroy it drilling it out. I couldn't believe it I've taken tons of them out. Brand new engine and carb and jet was stuck.

Well I found jets. If anyone else is looking you can purchase ones for clone motors. They are the same and you can drill to whatever size needed.

So tell us... were you finally able to unscrew your original jet from your carb?
If not... what did you have to do? |

Re: Main jets FE400
I ended up grinding a flat blade screwdriver to fit perfectly and a few taps with a hammer and finally it came out. Completely ruined of course only because newer CC main jets are aluminum and way too soft. Rejeted to run without air box with a K&N filter don't seem to miss the choke. For some reason my 400 seems to start easier than the 350 I had and the DS's I had previously. Not sure if its a huge performance gain on a stock motor but it took .005 bigger jet.
